A calendar of international conferences, workshops, seminars, and all kinds of event related to Climateurope activities and topics: Climate Services, Climate Observation, and Earth-System modeling
“The Emmett Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at the UCLA School of Law, in partnership with the Forum for Climate Engineering Assessment, the Solar Radiation Management Governance Initiative, and the Harvard Solar Geoengineering Research Program, is pleased to announce the Sixth International Geoengineering Summer School.”
“Solar Radiation Management (SRM) is the most radical, controversial, and rapidly acting form of geoengineering. SRM is a set of proposals to reduce the impacts of climate change by means such as sulfate aerosol injection or marine cloud brightening. This school will focus on interpreting and analysing computer simulation of SRM from the international Geoengineering Intercomparison project (GeoMIP) Geoengineering Large Ensemble of Simulations (GLENS) using the CESM+WACCM model. […] Apply before March 30 by sending a 300 word explanation of your motivation for attending, and current CV. Also indicate if and how much travel support is needed. For further information and applications please contact John Moore john.moore.bnu (at) gmail.com.”
ICAER 2019 is sponsored by the Hong Kong Chemical, Biological & Environmental Engineering Society (CBEES). It is one of the leading international conferences for presenting novel and fundamental advances in the fields of Advances in Environment Research. It also serves to foster communication among researchers and practitioners working in a wide variety of scientific areas with a common interest in improving Advances in Environment Research related techniques.
“The network of leading Swiss institutions in climate research and education invites young scientists to join high-profile climate researchers in Southern Switzerland for keynote lectures, workshops, and poster sessions on the occasion of the 18th Swiss Climate Summer School 2019.”
Machine Learning and Deep Learning in Climate and Weather, CMIP6 Efforts, Storage and Computing in the Cloud, Novel and emerging HPC technology and architectures
“We propose a two-day conference spread over three days (half-day/full day/half-day) starting after lunch on Monday 9th September and concluding before lunch on Wednesday 11th September. The conference programme is inspired by the format of the Talanoa Dialogue.”
